Treisenburg Auto Corporation (TAC), the exclusive distributor of JAC vehicles in the Philippines, announced that it is bringing in two new models late this year and early next year. Both vehicles are claimed to flaunt advanced features not typically found on rival models already in the local market. The company also plans to offer these new models at much more affordable prices. TAC also aims to open more dealerships towards the end of the year and during the first half of 2020.
TAC became the exclusive distributor of JAC vehicles last March 2018 in partnership with China’s Anhui Jianghuai Automobile, also known as JAC Motors. The company operates under the LICA Auto Group. Under the new management at TAC, JAC Motors Philippines aims to be more aggressive in showcasing its entire line-up to local consumers by showing them confidence in the brand.
In an effort to build the credibility of the brand in the country, TAC is bringing the Philippine motoring media and bank partners to JAC Motors’ headquarters and factory in Hefei, China to give them a glimpse on how JAC vehicles are manufactured. In addition to the advanced facilities the manufacturer will showcase, JAC’s research and development center will also be part of the tour.
TAC also recently launched the JAC Sunray 6 23-seater Transporter in support of the government’s efforts in providing safer public utility vehicles through the PUV Modernization Program. It’s powered by a Euro 4-compliant 2.8-liter turbo diesel engine that’s mated with a 5-speed manual transmission. JAC claims that it gives priority to quality by constructing the entirety of the vehicle at its factory in China.
