What makes the All-New 2023 Honda BR-V S variant an excellent family-oriented all-around car?

For most Filipinos, cars serve more of a practical purpose than anything else. That’s why many households look for a vehicle that ticks multiple boxes: A good family-oriented all-around vehicle should be a people mover, is economical to acquire and own, is packed with experience-improving tech, has enough juice to go on distant treks to the province, and offers comfort and peace of mind on the road. In other words, the All-New Honda BR-V.

Practicality is the name of the game for many first-time car owners and replacement car buyers. The All-New BR-V fits the bill because it has a low cost of ownership and has a mileage of 22.62 kilometers per liter for the BR-V S CVT variant, based on Fuel Economy Run sessions conducted with the Automobile Association of the Philippines. A full tank of fuel gives you well over 1,000 kilometers of driving, a testament to the 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC in-line 4-cylinder engine’s uncompromising efficiency. Best of all, the BR-V only requires twice a year periodic maintenance, meaning you can truly go the distance without spending too much time and money at the casa.

With the All-New 2023 Honda BR-V, you won’t be left wanting for space. Whether for daily commutes to school and the office, for taking your pets to their vet appointments, or for hauling groceries, appliances, and more, the BR-V has ample space for all your needs. The car comfortably seats seven adults with room for bags, peripherals, and other necessities. Honda Genuine Accessories are also available for the BR-V should you need a cargo tray or seat back protectors for truly rugged hauling. The car tops out at 1,032 liters of cargo capacity with both the second and third rows folded, and all variants come standard with a roof rail for added cargo flexibility.

You can tell that a car manufacturer is serious about providing value to its customers when they stuff a car at this price point full of beneficial tech. For instance, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a reverse camera with guidelines, and Bluetooth and USB ports are standard on both the 1.5 S MT and the 1.5 S CVT variants. And they say base variants don’t get a lot of love. That’s not the case with the All-New Honda BR-V.

Power and Reliability

Power and reliability matter because all-around family cars like the BR-V are expected to handle various driving conditions that go with a wide range of lifestyles. The BR-V is powered by a class-leading engine that delivers 119 bhp of power and 107 lb-ft of torque from its 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder engine, allowing you to go further for less. On the BR-V, you can brave long and winding mountain roads, expressways, and more. And it’s not colossal like most SUVs out in the market, so you can still squeeze into tight alleyways and carports with ease.

Comfort and Safety

A car that’s meant to haul family, friends, pets, and more should be designed with comfort and safety at the top of the list. On the All-New BR-V, much of the tech list consists of the many ways the car keeps its occupants safe and comfortable no matter where they go. Both the 1.5 S CVT and 1.5 S MT variants come with driver and front passenger seat belt reminders, anti-lock brake system, electronic brake-force distribution, vehicle stability assist, hill-start assist, security alarm, immobilizer, emergency stop signal, and ISOFIX child seat anchors. Also, the windshield has been reshaped and the driver’s seat has been updated for maximum comfort and optimal visibility.

Leather upholstery and Honda SENSING safety features (adaptive cruise control, auto high beam, lead car departure notification, collision mitigation braking system, lane keeping assist system, and road departure mitigation with lane departure warning) are all available only on the VX variant. But you can rest easy knowing that all your vehicle’s occupants are comfortable and safe no matter how far you go, no matter which BR-V variant you choose.

The All-New Honda BR-V 1.5 S MT variant is listed at P 1,090,000 while the BR-V 1.5 S CVT (AT) variant is listed at P 1,150,000. Visit your nearest Honda dealer today to learn more.
