The moment we saw the poster, Orange Adventure Rally, we knew this was something special.
Last February 8 and 9, Touratech Philippines, in partnership with KTM Philippines, set a travel event with a different twist. They invited riders of different motorcycle brands to form groups, with at least 2 members, converge in KTM BGC, Taguig, and then hand out printed GPS coordinates to locate two pit stops and finally reveal the final travel destination.
Saddled on newly activated KTM 790 Adventure bikes, courtesy of KTM Philippines, the ride was more thrilling and exciting. It was a rediscovered love affair for middleweight Adventure bikes.
Mr. Alvin Dee, the official dealer of Touratech products in the Philippines, shared that this travel event, now on its 9th year, is an opportunity for their customers to ride together, bond with them, and to promote moto-tourism and camaraderie among the adventure riding community.
This type of travel event is actually fun and a bit challenging. The organizers provided three different routes, with three different sets of GPS coordinates. Each team were asked to take a photo in every pit stop, leading to the last destination.
It was actually fun and challenging, because we only assigned one person to lead us, putting all our trust, and a reliable sweeper to keep the group intact.
A rewarding view of a seaside resort await us all. We crossed small communes, played on winding roads, endured sun, gusts and rain, took a bit of short back roads and met a lot of new old friends. Even though we were given different routes, we ended up in the same place. We took time to relax and enjoy each and everyone’s company, while we all look forward to another epic travel adventure.
