It’s no secret that Rolls-Royce doesn’t really launch a new generation of its models every day. The current-generation Ghost, for instance, has been around for 10 years. So it’s rather exciting to learn that it will be debuting the next-generation Ghost real soon.
This announcement was made by no less than Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Chief Executive Officer Torsten Muller-Otvos in an open letter to the members of the media and select clientele. While no technical details were revealed, he did say that it will be an entirely new car.
The Rolls-Royce Ghost is one of the longest running nameplates in the brand’s 116-year history. It is likewise one of the most successful. This motor car is aimed at buyers who would want to drive themselves on weekends and would be driven around on weekdays.
It is for those that know what they want and have achieved quite a great deal in life. For them Rolls-Royce is preparing an equally dynamic car whose only semblance to the current and past generations is the Spirit of Ecstasy.
To herald the new Ghost, Rolls-Royce will be rolling out a four-part animation series leading up to the grand launch. These shorts will highlight the special features and attributes of the new Ghost. Rest assured we’ll be in on the action and let you know about it.
The new Rolls-Royce Ghost will debut in the fourth quarter of 2020.
