Ayala Corporation’s automotive group will be launching commercial and passenger vehicle manufacturer Maxus on June 5. The Maxus G10 will be part of the brand’s inaugural model range in the local market – joining a minivan segment that’s gained quite a bit of attention in recent years.
Maxus is one of many brands operating under the ownership of SAIC Motor. The Shanghai-based firm acquired the British marque in 2010 and introduced the V80 van a year later at the Auto Shanghai motor show.
Also known as the LDV G10, the Maxus G10 is a rear-wheel drive, front-engined van. The G10 is being sold in other markets with three engine options – a 2.0-liter turbopetrol, a 2.4-liter gasoline, and a 1.9-liter turbodiesel. In Malaysia, all trims of the G10 is packed with the 2.0-liter turbopetrol that produces 222 bhp at 5,500 rpm and 254 lb-ft. at 4,000 rpm.
The Maxus G10 took on different parts of Luzon prior to their launch next week. Below are some photos.
Stay tuned as further details and specifications will be revealed by Maxus at next week. The G10 will be available to customers starting June 6.
