Manila, – Philippines — February 13, 2014. At a prelude to the Grand Launch on Feb. 27, 2014, The Philippine Formula Autosport Foundation (PFAFI) strives to bring innovation into their love for racing. Staying true to their beliefs they are bringing back Philippines Motor sports into the main stage of the motoring world once more and at the same time creating another niche in the overall tourism and promotions of the country throughout the monitoring scene.
PFAFI founder, Tom Pastor, will be launching the next big thing in the Asian region, the Asian V8 Championship. This year long celebration of speed will start with its Grand Launch on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 6:00 pm in the Resorts World Manila Atrium.
Guests at these festivities will include internationally acclaimed drivers from all over the Asian region, VIP’s & local Philippine celebrities that like to dabble in racing, including the pride of the Philippines in Motor sports Enzo Pastor, who spoke at today’s event.
The thrust of the PFAFI is to develop the Philippines as a hub for the Late Model NASCAR Racing in Asia. It’s vision became a reality in developing Asians to be competitive in international racing events in Europe & America. Starting March 1 the Asian V8 Championship will begin its official testing, where celebrities from here and abroad and VIP’s will be invited to the Batangas Racing Circuit (BRC) in Rosario, Batangas to see and partake in the action of these 450HP Late Model NASCAR’s. Followed by the first of three, 2 day festivals of Motor sports, which is the first of its kind in Asian to be held in the Clark International Speedway (CIS) on April 5 & 6, 2014.
In pursuit of Philippine motoring tourism, our country will the hub centered in developing champions in the Asia Pacific. With prizes and incentives for the champions of the Asian V8 Championship in the Asian Open & Pro categories to be able to race in Europe, in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, & in the USA, in the K&N Pro NASCAR Series.
