Army Navy Club 200 50 Lap Endurance Race set for February 2023

Last Thursday, October 27, 2022, one of the country’s premier sportbike clubs Club 200 launched its forthcoming racing event, the Army Navy Club 200/50 Race at the City Club in Alphaland Corporate Tower in Makati.

Nick Romero speaking about the event.

The first-of-its-kind race in the Philippines is set to happen on February 11, 2023, at Clark International Speedway in Angeles Pampanga. Set to be the ultimate battle of strategies, stamina, strength, and skill, each team will be composed of 3 members with their own individual motorcycles sharing one transponder and riding duties for 50 laps or approximately 200 kilometers.

The event rules and system were co-developed by Clark International Speedway race officials and the Pirelli technical team with safety as the main priority.

To make the event more appealing and interesting to regular everyday and weekend enthusiasts, the plan is to exclude riders competing in the national races to level the playing field.

Club 200 was founded in 1994 by mostly ex-superbike champions and is a pioneer motorcycle club in the country. The Army Navy Club 200 200/50 Endurance Race came to fruition in order to advocate Club 200’s mission to create sustainable motorcycling events that promote friendship, skill development, and safety within the riding community.

Races will be the 50-lap endurance relay for adventure and adventure open classes from 400cc to 1300cc adventure motorcycles with 21 or 19-inch front wheels and 2 to 3-cylinder engines, adventure open/ sport touring class with 19 to 17-inch front-wheeled 4-cylinder bikes, a featured 5 lap race for the first ever boxer cup featuring BMW’s R Nine-T and the 50-lap sportbike/ sport naked category thereafter.
