It’s been 35 years since the first BMW M3 entered the automotive scene. To celebrate this, BMW premieres the all-new BMW M3 Competition Sedan and the BMW M4 Competition Coupe in Singapore.
Blending high performance, track oriented engineering and driving dynamics with the everyday practicality of either a four-door, five-seater sedan or four-seater, two-door coupe, the M Competition cars take things a bit further in terms of driving prowess.
At the heart of both Sedan and Coupe is the 3.0-liter M TwinPower inline-6 that puts out 510bhp @ 6,250rpm and 476lb-ft of torque that’s spread out from 2,750-5,500rpm. Redline is pegged at 7,200 revs.
All this power, coursed through an 8-speed M Steptronic gearbox with Drivelogic technology, promises an engaging drive that has been a hallmark of M cars ever since. The system even lets drivers tailor the cars dynamics, such as steering, throttle, braking, suspension, and the like to suit their style and the road conditions.
Of course, the suspension and brakes are tuned to give the utmost in performance yet still provide a comfortable and safe journey. As mentioned above, it’s a mix of both worlds in a striking package, complete with M aerodynamic and perforrmance parts to boot.
Deliveries of the all-new BMW M3 Competition Sedan and M4 Competition Coupe will begin in March.
