Being a strong advocate of road safety since 2017, pioneering automotive publication, C! Magazine, began its third year of Road Safety Campaign last September 2 at Team Energy Corporation in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
Present in the road safety seminar were Allan Santos of Bridgestone Tires, Mark Manlutac from Lifeline Ambulance, C! Magazine Executive Editor Nicolas Calanoc, and Miguel “Migz” Panal of Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).
“When we started our company 17 years ago, there’s nobody doing this and we found out that there’s a lack of knowledge in doing these little things. We’re really grateful that Team Energy Corporation became part of C! Magazine’s advocacy on road safety. The key point here [in our campaign] is preventable. It is not about being legally right, but it is about how one can prevent possible road accidents. We really appreciate your presence and acknowledgment on our efforts in helping the roads safer for every road users,” said Carlito Cunanan, managing director of C! Magazine.
With fatalities brought by road accidents in the country and to further promote road safety in their company, C! Magazine tapped Team Energy Corporation to educate its 92 drivers and employees on appropriate car maintenance, proper behaviors on the road, conducting first aid, and refreshers on local traffic laws and regulations.
“The C! Road Safety Campaign helped us, drivers, to become more mindful not only with the vehicles we drive but also with other road users we encounter on the road. It taught us about the certain precautions that we needed to apply in our everyday tasks. The seminar is not only helpful for drivers, but it also benefits the passengers and commuters. We enjoyed the road safety seminar, and we hope that you’ll continue to educate more institutions,” said Marlon Coniconde, driver in Team Energy Corporation.
The first leg of the 2019 C! Road Safety Campaign is presented by Bridgestone Tires Philippines, in collaboration with Tuason Racing School, MMDA, and Lifeline Ambulance Service.
