There has always been this perception that motorcycle riders are a rowdy and undisciplined bunch. Yet this is not always the case, says the Harley Owners Group (HOG) Manila, which recently held a fire safety seminar together with Caltex.
The seminar, held together with Caltex’s Philippine marketer Chevron Philippines Inc, was designed to teach riders basic fire prevention and prevent damage to life and property. It was attended by 36 HOG riders and 7 terminal emergency responders at Caltex’s Batangas refinery.
Held during the month of March, it likewise marked the celebration of Fire Prevention Month, which is traditionally marked due to the spike in fire incidents as the summer season sets in. With this, HOG, Caltex, the Bureau of Fire Protection reinforced the importance of helping prevent fires, as well as how to properly deal with them should one occur.
All this is part of Caltex’s commitment to make life better for the Filipino.
