Ford Philippines is no stranger to the Crossover and Sport Utility Vehicle game. Its lineup consists of different sizes of this popular vehicle configuration such as the Expedition, Explorer, Everest, and EcoSport. Yet it seems that despite the number of offerings in its vehicle stable, there is room for one more. Enter the all-new Ford Territory.
Those who know their cars may recall the Territory name from a vehicle being sold in the Australian market. Yet the only similarity the new Territory has with that one is the name. This is an all-new model, a joint venture with partner Jiangling Motor Corporation of China.
Moreover, the Territory that was launched today is a compact SUV, going up against the likes of the Honda CR-V, Subaru Forester, Toyota RAV4, and even the new Geely Azkarra. But what does the Territory have to offer to set it apart from the rest of the pack?
For one, the Blue Oval brand says that this Ford-engineered sport ute boasts of its DNA that’s built into the core. It was designed at Ford’s Design Stuido in Melbourne, Australia, as well as the one in Nanjing, China. It was engineered both in Europe and Austrlia for ride, ZX heated and cooled front seats, power-adjustable driver’s seat, 10.1-inch instrument cluster that’s fully digital and customizable with Normal, Sport, and an en vogue Fashion mode, one-touch up/down function for all power windows, ambient lighting, and a panoramic moonroof.
And with Ford’s penchant for safety, the new Territory gets gear like Co-Pilot360 that includes Active Park Assist with both parallel and perpendicular parking feature, Around View Monitor, Adaptive Cruise Control with Forward Collision Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning, and Blind Sport Information System.
With all these, the new Ford Territory hopes to bring more excitement and a value-for-money proposition to this fiercely-fought segment. The Territory is now available on all Ford dealerships at an introductory price of:
- Trend: PhP 1,179,000
- Titanium: PhP 1,299,000
