Formula 1 all set to race in Vietnam

Vietnam may have had a storied past. Yet this country is set to have an equally colorful future, particularly in the field of motor sport as it is on cue to host the first ever 2020 VinFest Formula 1 Vietnam Grand Prix.

Set to take place at the newly-built Hanoi Circuit, this will be the first time the pinnacle of motorsport, Formula 1, will be coming to Vietnam. The 5.607-km track will play host to an exciting race that promises action and drama in one go.

The unique design of the track blends a street circuit with a permanent racetrack, making it one of the most challenging circuits on the F1 calendar. It was likewise the first course to be constructed using a combination of Tike engineers and F1’s motor sport division.

Besides being a race course, it also boasts of Vietnam\s very own signature designs. This can be seen in the sprawling 300 m Pit Building with its Imperial Citadel of Thang Long meets the Pavilion of Constellation of Literature cues. All to remind everyone that they are in a city steeped in rich cultural heritage.

But of course, the racing action won’t be left out as the materials used, such as the type and level of asphalt, are nothing but the best. Scrutinized by experts in the field, cars will still be able to race up to 335 km/h on track, thanks to the first-rate materials and safety equipment that have met stringent F1 standards.

The 2020 VinFest Formula 1 Vietnam Grand Prix will take place from April 3-5, 2020 at the Hanoi Circuit. It is one historic race you should not miss.
