Sojitz G Auto Philippines (SGAP) has just introduced a new variant of the Coolray.
The distributor of Geely in the country has just made the Coolray Sport Limited in all dealerships. Packed in this new top-of-the-line variant are a few upgrades. At PhP 1,218,000, it’s priced PhP 20,000 higher than the Sport variant.
Outside, the new black 18-inch alloy wheels on 215/55R18 tires separate it from the Sport variant. These are matched by the two-tone color scheme you’ve become accustomed to with the brand’s best-selling model.
This special edition of the Coolray also features ventilated seats for the driver and front passenger. There is also a new power tailgate with a height memory feature, which can be activated with the key fob as well.
Tech and convenience amenities remain the same. The 10.25-inch infotainment system supports Bluetooth, QD Link, and USB connectivity. It’s here where the 360-degree camera system can be operated. Automatic climate control and a panoramic sunroof come standard as well.
Under the hood is still the 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder gasoline engine. Connected to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, it makes 174 bhp and 188 lb-ft. It has a top speed of 196 km/h and can go from 0 to 100 in 7.8 seconds. The familiar Sport, Eco, and Comfort modes are still there, along with manual mode.
Only 1,000 units of the Geely Coolray Sport Limited have been made available. For an in-depth review of the Coolray, click here.
