With Christmas Day just a few sleeps away, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) gives Metro motorists a test as it suspends the Modified Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program or number coding scheme on certain days this holiday season.
More specifically, the MMDA will suspend the number coding scheme on Dec 24 (Friday, Dec 30 (Thursday), and Dec 31 (Friday). These particular days are Christmas Eve, Rizal Day, and New Year’s Eve, respectively. Thie man’s vehicles with license plates ending in 7 and 8 (Thursday) and 9 and 0 (Friday) will be free to travel even during the 5 pm to 8 pm time when the UVVRP is usually in effect.
The UVVERP or number coding scheme will resume normal operations beginning January 3, 2022.
