Hino and the DOTr ready to provide free rides to frontliners

When the national government imposed the Enhanced Community Quarantine around three weeks ago, many people were left stranded by the wayside—literally. Yet more than a few companies have come to their aid offering free rides to and from their places of work. One of these is Hino Motors Philippines.

In a partnership with the Department of Transportation, HMP is offering a fleet of its Modern Public Utility Vehicles for use as shuttles that will ply various routes in Metro Manila. In coordination with different Local Government Units, the Hino PUVs will offer rides for healthcare workers, frontliners, and other citizens who need to go for basic essentials.

By simply presenting an ID, passengers can get to and from their destination without fuss. Of course, social distancing and sanitation guidelines are strictly implemented. Each shuttle is disinfected before and after every shift, along with provisions for face masks and alcohol to ensure the safety and health of all passengers.

It’s all part of Hino’s and the DOTr’s commitment to provide the best for the Filipino people.
