Hyundai’s IONIQ bags the Electric Vehicle trophy at the 16th C! Awards

The recently concluded 16th C! Awards saw a new category honoring cutting-edge technology in the form of Electric Vehicles. The winner of this new segment was the Hyundai IONIQ.

Launched just last year at the Manila International Auto Show, the IONIQ is the Korean carmaker’s answer to zero emissions motoring, with its permanent magnet-type electric motor that puts out 136bhp.

Beyond this, it offers a slew of amenities that are now pretty much standard fare for modern vehicles. These include a multimedia infotainment system, electronic gear shift, drive mode selector, 357-liter cargo capacity, and the security of 6 SRS airbags.

The Electric Vehicle trophy was presented, along with the other awards during a simple virtual ceremony hosted by C! Magazine Founding Editor and Editorial Director Kevin C. Limjoco. You can watch the 16th C! Awards here.
