First came the Sian, the purveyor of Lamborghini’s future, with its mild hybrid technology. Today, the Italian super sports car maker takes things to the next level as it reveals the ultra rare Sian Roadster.
If you think that this is merely an open top version of the Sian, then you’re absolutely right. But do note that while Lamborghini did chop off the roof, it managed to retain the futuristic lines of its coupe sibling. Everything from the three-pronged front lighting, to the air intakes on the side, and the triple-layer taillights are all there. And they give us a pretty good idea of what to expect from Lamborghini in terms of design down the line.
Apart from this, what is also intact is the 6.5-liter V12 from the Aventador SVJ, which is likewise paired to a 48V mild hybrid system. This combo produces a staggering 819bhp—the most powerful Lamborghini ever. That’s enough to rocket the car from 0-100km/h in less than 2.9 seconds and go all the way to a 350km/h top speed.
We mentioned earlier that the Sian Roadster is an ultra rare gem. While Lamborghini has already said this about the Sian when it debuted last year, this time it really means it. While the coupe had 63 examples, this open top version will only have 19 copies. And all of them are already spoken for!
So, what do you think of the new Lamborghini Sian Roadster?
