Life goes on: Jaguar Land Rover puts together a Range Rover under ‘new normal’ measures

With production resuming at Jaguar Land Rover’s Solihull plant, various measures have been put in place to ensure the health and safety of workers. The result is the very first Range Rover produced under physical distancing measures rolling off the assembly line.

Despite measures such as a two-meter distance between workers whenever possible, thermal checks upon entry, wearing of personal protective equipment, and using equipment and methods that will protect against contamination, a Range Rover, as well as other vehicles were put together without a hitch.

By the same token, Jaguar Land Rover also encourages its workforce to practice self checks and monitoring even before leaving home for the factory. This is to ensure that they won’t bring any unwanted viruses or illnesses to the facility and endanger other workers.

As all this is part of Jaguar Land Rover’s efforts to help contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus, it also shows that life can go on even under a new normal.
