Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Achieves 700,000 Unit Production

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has been around a long time, holding the title as the longest staying automotive company in the Philippines. MMPC now adds another milestone to their historical achievements as they celebrate their 700,000th unit production milestone. As one of the country’s leading automotive assemblers and distributors, MMPC has been manufacturing vehicles and driving the Philippine economy forward since 1964, when their first production vehicle rolled off the assembly line. Now based in a 23-hectare plant in Sta. Rosa Laguna, MMPC’s manufacturing plant has a maximum capacity of 50,000 units, locally manufacturing the Mitsubishi Mirage and Mirage G4.
In a ceremony held at the Sta. Rosa Plant, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation, MMPC rolled out the Mirage G4 as its 700,000th unit production.
“Mitsubishi Motors Corporation could not accomplish this achievement without steadfast commitment and considerable cooperation of the Philippines government, all our dealers, suppliers, business partners, loyal customers as well as the past and present employees,” said Takao Kato, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation’s chief executive officer. “We are committed to continue to grow and expand our business in the Philippines, and are geared towards further development of manufacturing technologies of our plant in this country.”
