New trucks on the block
Located along bustling Quezon Avenue in what’s slowly becoming as the truck alley in the Metro, is the first FUSO Dealership outlet in the country. Solely dedicated to the sale of brand new FUSO vehicle and aftermarket services, it was recently inaugurated by Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC). The FUSO dealership will operate under the management of Diamond Motor Corporation (DMC) this is capable of accommodating the aftersales demands of FUSO customers from light-duty to heavy-duty trucks. A total of five work bays equipped with the latest tools, spare parts and skilled technicians assure quality service.
MMPC also unveiled the FUSO FI and FJ trucks, which represent FUSO’s truck line-up in the medium and heavy-duty category.
The FUSO FI 1217R is a 6-wheeler truck with a new generation 4D37 diesel engine mated to a 6-speed transmission. This engine is capable of 172 hp and 520 nm/torque while lowering operating cost. It is also the first in its class to have air conditioning as standard with power windows, tilt-telescopic steering wheel, central door lock system and many more features.
The FUSO FJ is a 25-tonner, 10-wheel truck with a 32 feet cab to end frame chassis length. A 6S20 diesel engine propels the truck with 282 hp and 1100 Nm of torque. A 9-speed transmission offers smoother operation, better acceleration and fuel economy. It is also the first in its class to have air conditioning as standard with power windows, tilt-telescopic steering wheel, central door lock system, Anti-Lock Braking system (ABS) and many more features.
MMPC hopes that with the opening of a dedicated FUSO outlet together with the expansion of the FUSO model line-up, they will be able to serve the growing demand of the Philippine truck market for reliable, heavy-duty trucks and buses that will meet their needs and requirements.
