After months of preparation and even postponed events, the Technical Education Skills Development Authority (TESDA), together with Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) finally got to showcase the talents of its technicians last December.
Held at the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Training Center inside the MMPC plant in Laguna, technicians showed their chops in terms of handling various types of automobile components. These components even include hybrid vehicle parts, which are considered the future of motoring.
Apart from this, the event featured a competition designed to bring out the best in these young men. In the end, the podium saw the following take the top three steps:
- Aldrin Ulep (Gold)
- MarkLuis Angel (Silver)
- Warren James Olita (Bronze)
All this, MMPC and TESDA say, not only allows them to showcase what they each have to offer in terms of technology and skills training, respectively. The competition likewise brought out the best in the individuals that participated in the event. This, in turn, can lead to an even better and more dynamic automotive industry in the years to come.
