Petron Corporation has been actively participating in efforts to help battle COVID-19 ever since the disease and its ill effects were felt earlier this year. Now, the oil company and its Petron Foundation subsidiary continue to help the fight by donating Personal Protective Equipment to several COVID-19 referral hospitals in Metro Manila.
The PPE sets include PPE suits, medical goggles, medical gloves, and N95 and surgical masks. These were donated to the Lung Center of the Philippines, San Lazaro Hospital, Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Center and Sanitarium, and the Philippine General Hospital
With this, Petron hopes to equip medical frontliners with the proper gear they need to protect themselves as they go about helping other get through the dreaded disease which has struck so many lives in its wake.
Since March of this year, when the full blown effects of the disease were felt, Petron has done such things as giving Petron Value Cards to medical frontliners, offering them discounts on fuel, provide fuel for shuttle services, and donate funds to various projects that aid in fighting COVID-19 and giving livelihood to those affected by the crisis.
