Last August, Porsche unveiled the facelifted Panamera with the most powerful version being the Turbo S with 620bhp. Apparently, the German sports car brand was just warming up as it now reveals more variants of its vaunted four-door sports car. The highlight of the new range is arguably the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid with 689bhp.
While this new model uses the same 4.0-liter twin turbo V8 from the Turbo S, it is now paired with an electric motor. The 563bhp produced by the V8 is complemented by the 134bhp put out by the electric motor with a 17.9kWh battery. Paired to an 8-speed PDK gearbox, the 2021 Porsche Panamera sedan and Sport Turismo (wagon) can sprint to 100km/h from rest in 3.0 seconds while its long wheelbase Executive version can do the same in 3.1 ticks. Zero to 200km/h arrives in 10.9 seconds while top speed is pegged at 315km/h
Apart from the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid, the range now also includes the 455bhp 4 E-Hybrid with the same 17.9kWh battery-powered electric motor mated to a 2.9-liter twin turbo V6, as well as the 443bhp Panamera 4S.
Either way, the new Porsche sedan and wagon now sport design cues taken from the facelifted version seen last August. The most telling of these changes is the LED light strip that urns across the length of the rear section. This is finished off by new 20- and 21-inch alloy wheels.
Deliveries of the new 2021 Porsche Panamera models will begin in the second quarter of 2021.
