While most of the automotive industry is struggling due to the COVID-19 pandemic and ensuing lockdowns, luxury brand Rolls-Royce reports record sales for the first quarter of 2021. The marque’s sales grew by a whopping 62%.
Rolls-Royce sold a total of 1,380 units from January to March of 2021. This is an increase over last year\s figures. It likewise eclipses the previous record set in 2019.
The largest number of Rolls-Royce motor cars sold over its 116-year history can be attributed to nameplates like the latest-generation Ghost, which debuted last year, as well as the Cullinan, the Rolls-Royce of SUVs. China, the US, and the Asia-Pacific region had the most demand for these vehicles.
Apart from these, Bespoke creations also topped the charts. The Koa Phantom has already been delivered, as well as the Iridescent Phantom. The 20 copies of the Phantom Tempus have all been spoken for as well.
With this, Rolls-Royce hopes to have a record year this 2021 with more Bespoke models and nameplates.
