With the promise of a vaccine that can help eradicate COVID-19 looming in the horizon, companies like San Miguel Corporation announce its Ligtas Lahat vaccination drive to help its employees fight the dreaded disease.
SMC said that it will be spending close to P1 billion in order to administer voluntary vaccinations to all of its 70,000 employees and extended workforce once the drug becomes commercially available in the country. While it will be on a voluntary basis, the company encourages all eligible employees to take advantage of this offer.
Moreover, SMC President and Chief Operating Officer Ramon S. Ang said that even if they do receive the vaccine, SMC and its employees will still continue to observe health protocols such as wearing of face masks, social distancing, and the like.
All these aim to help not only the company but the entire nation get past this crisis and move forward towards a healthy tomorrow.
