Skyway 3 owner and operator San Miguel Corporation (SMC) said that the entire 18km, 7 lane stretch from the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) in Alabang to the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) in Balintawak will be available for use by motorists after the 14th of January.

To be more specific, SMC will close the Skyway 3 to vehicular traffic beginning 10pm of January 13. It will remain closed for the entire day of January 14 to allow SMC to conduct final inspection, as well as hold pre-opening and opening activities to celebrate the new expressway.

Full operations will resume at 5am of January 15. Moreover, all 7 lanes of the entire stretch will now be opened and will be toll free until the January 29.

With the Skyway 3’s full opening, SMC sees a big improvement in our traffic situation, especially along EDSA as motorists can traverse the length of the new route to get from North to South and vice-versa.
