Subaru Levorg 2.0 GT-S derives engine from WRX

More powerful Levorg now offered at Php 1.998 M

In 2015, Motor Image Pilipinas launched the Levorg, powered by a1.6-liter turbo engine, but due to the public’s clamor for a more powerful model, the official distributor of Subaru vehicles has launched the Levorg’s 2.0 GT-S variant in the country.

Being offered as the only variant with upgraded features, the Subaru Levorg 2.0 GT-S is powered by a turbocharged Boxer engine, similar to the WRX. Known as the FA20, the Levorg’s more powerful engine can produce 264 hp at 5600 rpm, and 258 lb-ft of torque at 2400 to 5200 rpm, and is matched to a Lineartronic CVT with seven-speed manual mode and paddle shifters.

To complement the new turbocharged engine, the Levorg GT-S has three different driving modes, namely Intelligent for everyday driving, Sport (S) for better performance, and Sport Sharp (S#) to improve the vehicle’s handling and acceleration.

The interior comes with leather-wrapped seats that have blue contrast stitching, giving the cabin a sportier look. It also has power-adjustable driver’s seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, multi-function display, rain-sensing wipers, 40:20:40: split folding rear seats, LED headlights, and sunroof.

For safety of the occupants, the Levorg 2.0 GT-S is equipped with anti-lock brakes (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), brake assist, brake override system, active torque vectoring, vehicle dynamics control, emergency stop signal, blind spot monitoring, tire pressure monitoring, seven airbags, and engine immobilizer.

Like other Subaru models, the Levorg 2.0GT-s also has EyeSight Driver Assist, and has additional safety functions such as pre-collision braking, pre-collision throttle management, lane keep assist with sway warning, and adaptive cruise control.

The 2019 Subaru Levorg 2.0 GT-S has an SRP of Php 1,998,000.
