Barely a week after its official launch in the Philippine market, the 1st Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle has been delivered its owner, Mitsubishi Corporation’s Manila Branch.
Mr. Keiichi Matsunaga, General Manager, took delivery of the new PHEV, which will be part of Mitsubishi Corporation’s vehicle fleet. The Japanese company has business holdings in 90 countries around the world. It is also a 20 percent shareholder in Mitsubishi Motor Corporation.
The company chose the Outlander PHEV as it is the best selling PHEV SUV in the world. Since its introduction in 2013, it has sold some 260,000 units in 60 countries. This is proof that even a versatile Sport Utility Vehicle can be environment friendly yet still capable when it comes to on road performance.
With this, we can expect to see more Outlander PHEVs from Mitsubishi in the country soon.
