The Flying Spur S is the sporty version of Bentley’s stately sedan

Last week, Bentley unveiled the sporty variants of its Continental nameplate, the Continental GT S and GTC S. Now, it’s the Flying Spur’s turn to get the sporty treatment with the reveal of the Bentley Flying Spur S.

As the name suggests, this sedan gets blacked out touches on the grille, window surrounds, lower portion, exhaust tips, and the wheels. Speaking of wheels, buyers can choose between 21- and 22-inches and either gloss black or Pale Bodgar Stain finishes.

Step inside and you will be treated to sumptuous leather in either a quilted pattern or with a fluted design. There are of course S logos embroidered on the headrests while the instrument cluster gets the same treatment as that of the Continental Speed for that truly sporty vibe.

Speaking of sporty, buyers can choose from a pair of engines to power their Flying Spur S. One option is the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that puts out 543bhp and 568lb-ft of torque. This is good for a 0-100km/h time of just 4 seconds and a top speed of 319km/h.

Those that want to be a bit more green minded can go for the 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 with hybrid power that produces 536bhp and 553lb-ft of torque. It gets the car from rest to the century mark in 4.1 ticks and can go for 41kms on pure electric power.

The Bentley Flying Spur S, together with its Continental GT S and GTC S stablemates will make their public debut at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed that runs from June 23-26, 2022.
