A honey-powered Rolls-Royce of tomorrow, as imagined by an 8-year old

The Rolls-Royce convertible of tomorrow. This is what the car shown in the photo could very well be as the British luxury car company shows off a rendering of one of the numerous entries to its Young Designer contest.

Penned by an 8-year old girl named Megan, the concept was actually more fun-filled that simply being a top-down Rolls. For this young mind, the Rolls-Royce of tomorrow will be purely powered by honey, have a viewing suite that will cater to animals, and will don the Spirit of Butterfly up front.

It’s all part of the marque’s Young Designer Competition that began accepting entries last April. Since then, over 5,000 entries have been received from some 80 countries from around the world. Rolls-Royce will then shortlist this to 220, from which the winner will be chosen, sometime this July.

The lucky entry will receive a rendering of his or her illustration, just like what was done to Megan’s work. He or she will also receive a chauffeured ride in a Rolls-Royce on the first day of school, along with his/her best friend, and a signed certificate from Torsten Muller-Otvos, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars’ Chief Executive Officer.

So, what do you think of the honey-powered Rolls-Royce of tomorrow?
