Last year, a Bentley Continental GT broke the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb production car record by some 8.4 seconds. To celebrate this, Bentley and Mulliner unveil the limited-run Pikes Peak Continental GT.
Clad in an eye-catching Radium by Mulliner paint scheme that matches the one used on the record-breaking vehicle, the color is complemented by carbon fiber body kit pieces, gloss black trim pieces, acid green brake calipers, and Pirelli P Zero rubber that wrap around 22-inch Mulliner Driving Specification wheels. The look is finished off by Pikes Peak decals in reference to the winning car.
The cabin is likewise made even more special with Alcantara, Beluga hide, and Radium thread contrast stitching. These are matched by graphics on the passenger’s side showing off certain sections of the Pikes Peak track. Pikes Peak embroidery on the headrests, Pikes Peak thread plates, and a special B&O speaker set in Black Anodized and Radium complete the look.
Just like the winning Bentley, the Pikes Peak Continental GT gets its power from an advanced W12 turbocharged mill developing 626bhp and 664lb-ft of torque. This powers the car from 0-100km/h in 3.7 seconds and goes all the way to a 333km/h top speed.
And this is pretty much what the Pikes Peak record holder did. With the King of the Mounta Rhys Millen at the helm, the car stormed its way up the 12.42-mile track in just 10 minutes, 18.4 seconds—around 8.4 seconds quicker than the previous production car record.
With this, Bentley and Mulliner give customers just 15 units of this coveted vehicle. Deliveries begin this September, with all 15 units already spoken for. Still, it’s a great way to toast to the car’s success.
