Tour De Cebu – the Philippines’ only Historic Car Rally – Hits the Road in 2022

TOUR DE CEBU 2022 – the country’s only 1000-km touristic and historic car rally – will hit the road once again from Sept 29 – October 3, 2022. Followed by enthusiasts of every age, TDC is open to sports cars made in or prior to 1972. It is organized by the Performance and Classics Enthusiasts (PACE) of Cebu, with the full support of the Manila Sports Car Club (MSCC).

Originally conceptualized as a celebration of a decade of friendship shaped by the open road, Tour De Cebu has blossomed into a vehicle for road tourism, highlighting the beautiful roads, highways, and many scenic spots the Visayan islands have to offer. For the efforts of its participants and sponsors, Tour De Cebu was awarded the Sports Tourism Adventure Event of the Year in 2019 by the Sports Tourism Awards Group.

The official list for eligible sports cars is based on the official list as compiled by the MSCC, though PACE grants limited exceptions for the following:

1. Classic Cars manufactured on or below the cutoff date of 1972 with high historic value or unique
provenance in the Philippines.

2. Classic period-correct Race or Rally Cars manufactured on or below the cut-off date of 1972,
especially exhibiting high historical value or prestige.

3. Run-On sports car models beyond the manufacturing cutoff of 1972 are allowed pending technical consensus. Run-On is defined as a vehicle first manufactured in or prior to 1972, whose production run extended beyond that date.

Some of this year’s entries that truly make Tour De Cebu a touristic rally and rolling museum are, according to age:
