YAMAHA CELEBRATES RACING SEASON IN NIGHT OF EXCELLENCE

After a spectacular 2019 season filled with unforgettable moments and historic victories, Yamaha Motor Philippines, Inc. honored their riders for their achievements.

Mr. Hiroshi Koike welcomes the racing team

Members from the media were in attendance to witness the event. Recognition were spread across different categories and competitions. These also included awards for sponsors and stunt riders as well. The memorable Asia Road Racing Championship Campaign ended with the first Filipino rider to be named the 150cc Champion, McKinley Kyle Paz. The Chairman Masato Fernando also had a remarkable season and finished 6th overall. Moving forward, both riders would still be part of the 2020 international program with Masato anchoring the 150cc campaign. Fernando’s running mate will be chosen from a pool of 11 riders that competed in the Under-Bone King Championship.

Mckinley Kyle “the Wonderboy” Paz

For ‘the Wonderboy’ Paz, he will be moving up to the 600cc category after his astonishing performance that included a stint in the Valentino Rossi VR46 Mastercamp.

The Sniper 150 still stands as Yamaha’s vessel of racing excellence. Its combination of fascinating design and top-of-the-line performance makes it a rider’s perfect partner in the new decade. The motorsports program will continue to develop riders with it at its forefront to inspire the future generation.

Before the program started, everyone in attendance held a tribute for the late Amber Torres who passed away in his first stint in the ARRC. He symbolized passion for racing and the future of Philippine racing.

This 2020, Yamaha will continue their pursuit for excellence in competitions here in the Philippines and abroad. The mission for developing riders and creating champions is the goal, one that will always be within reach of the Filipino.
