Yamaha Moto GP Stars Elate Fans at Clark International Speedway

It was an exhilarating day at the Clark International Speedway last Saturday, March 4, 2023, as Filipino Yamaha Moto GP fans filled the stands to watch their favorite Moto GP stars 2021 Moto GP world champion Fabio “El Diablo” Quartararo and his teammate 2017 Moto 2 world champion Franco “Franky” Morbidelli live, in action at the local racetrack.

An electrifyingly festive atmosphere was in the venue with the latest Yamaha motorcycles on display. Motorcycle gear from SEC and accessories from other brands were available for sale. At the same time, food trucks were lined up in front of the secondary paddocks where Yamaha Riders Club members were provided a place to lounge away from the sun’s searing heat.

The track was open to all Yamaha motorcycle owners with proper gear and track-worthy motorcycles who wanted to feel the exhilaration of testing their riding skills and machines in a safe and closed environment.

I only had one lap with the Sniper 155 as the suspension of this particular one proved to be faulty. The front was bottoming out and chopping at almost every corner. (It’s probably that, or I’m just too fat for this tiny little bike, hihi!) (Photo by John Robert Villanueva)

Song and dance numbers kept the crowd pumped up with excitement eagerly awaiting their favorite Yamaha stars to take the stage. Despite the heat, Fabio and Franco braved the stage for some words for the crowd and a few more for our local racers.

Our Yamaha Moto GP stars wowed and thrilled the crowd as they did a few laps around the track with Filipino champion racers Mckinley Kyle “D’ Wonder Boy” Paz, April King Mascardo, and Gian Carlo Mauricio, led by Yamaha Motor Philippines President Hiroshi Koike. Franky really put on a show for the crowd by doing extra hot flying laps around the circuit which was so sensationally inspiring to witness.

It has been years since the last visit of any Moto GP star in the country, Yamaha Motor Philippines indeed made our wishes come true, allowing us to meet and greet our favorite stars. We wish Fabio, Franco, and the rest of the Monster Energy Yamaha  Moto GP team all the best! Yet again, Yamaha revved our hearts, thank you Yamaha Motor Philippines Inc.

Fans cheering the racers on.
